Essay Title: HNN222 Mental Health and Illness Assessment Task 2 (2000 words)
Purpose of assessment task: A wide range of biophsychosochial interventions is used in the treatment and care of people with mental illness, and nurses play an important role in delivering quality and safe patient care as members of the multidisciplinary team. The purpose of this assessment task is to extend your knowledge and understanding of interventions used in mental health settings, and the nurse’s role in caring for people with mental illness. This assessment builds on on the knowledge and skills attained in the weekly seminars.
Assignment question: Evaluate long acting injectable anti-psychotics (depot injections), and explain the nurse’s role in the intervention. Your essay should reflect your learning and promoting recovery in the person with mental illness.

Structure: Must contain a purposeful introduction that outlines what will be discussed in the assignment. Arguments and ideas presented in the essay must be supported by evidence (peer reviewed journal articles), thus you must use the literature to present your discussion points.
