William Shakespeare’s

Two important ingredients of your essay

I leave it to you how you want to approach this essay. But your essay must contain two important things: (1) a main idea or thesis that you want to explore/support and (2) at least three quotations from research you have done into your topic.

Two tips about the research

Use scholarly sources: Your research should be from authoritative secondary texts. I will not limit you to the library databases as I did with the Thomas King assignment, but your sources will be assessed for their scholarly quality. And it goes without saying that they need to cited and documented accurately following MLA (8th edition) guidelines.
Focus on the primary text: Please do not get carried away with the research. This essay should look much the same as the one you did on the micro stories, maintaining close focus on analyzing the text of the work you have selected. (No biographies of Shakespeare, please.)

It should be properly formatted following the sample essay provided. Please do not submit as a PDF file. Attach the essay to the assignment area as a Microsoft Word document.
