The purpose of this article is to persuade the audience to travel to Venice and enjoy all the attractions, it is aimed at adults over the ages of 20, because they would be more likely to have the means to travel and be engrossed by the different opportunities. Equally, my writing contains metaphors such as ‘…’ in order to influence the audience to consider the trip and convince them it is necessary. Tutored by my style model, I used a second-person format throughout my travel piece. Thus, this will help the reader visualise the scenery and envision themselves in the circumstances and allow them to have a vivid imagining of the city of Venice.
