Essay Requirements Your essay must: • have a thesis statement, located in paragraph one; you must underline your thesis statement • identify the genre and medium of the visual text • clearly state the argument, purpose, and target audience of the visual text • discuss how the visual text uses ethos, pathos, logos, and kairos to make claims • discuss how elements of design are important to the visual text’s argument • give specific examples of images and words from the visual text to support each of your claims • be formatted in Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins all around • follow MLA guidelines
