OPW’s mission is to help protect people and the environment, and enhance business performance by proving a comprehensive array of innovative solutions, including loading systems, rail and transport tank truck equipment, integrated flexible piping and secondary containment sumps, valves, fittings, underground and above ground storage tank equipment, spill containers, overfill prevention devices, swivels, breakaways, and fueling nozzles for virtually all fuel types, including gasoline, diesel, alternative fuels, LPG, Hydrogen and CNG. OPW also designs and manufactures touch-free and friction car wash systems. OPW has 3,850+ employees with manufacturing operations in North America, Europe, Brazil, China and India, and sales around the world.


Project was to upgrade the Finance System to Oracle to be in line with OPW corporate when they bought out Liquip Company in 2016.

A team was developed both internal and external internal team was the General Manager who was the sponsor of the project. The Financial Controller, Finance Business Analyst, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accountant and Payroll Officer.

The aim of the project was to invest in our system to have a better results which also impacts employee satisfaction.

Team met weekly, with external contractor Red Rock who were the service integrator’s.

Need to incoroporate Responsible Management element approach that recognized that anything you are proposing to do will not harm anyone. E.g look after employees, look after suppliers, how ill it impact on them.

Need to use the Team Effictiveness Model (TEM) don’t need to cover all features be selective.

Explain why this might impact the team effectiveness or the effectiveness of the outcome

Make sure you close the loops defined with key terms applied to the project, discuss limitations and then in the conclusion provide recommendations

Apply real life scenarios, critical analysis skils and problem solving skills.
