job of summarizing information and, in this case, presents a succinct
summary of the 9/11 Commission’s recommendations.
Now that some time has passed since they were recommended, it is
worth looking back at this list to gauge what has been done, what
hasn’t, and what has been ignored.
Each of you has been assigned to a group for the study of
recommendations from the 9/11 Commission. Write a 1,000 or -word
document that answers the following
QUESTIONS:
1. Which of the recommendations have been successfully implemented,
which haven’t, and most importantly, why?
2. Which of the recommendations have been most effective in keeping
the nation safe; which have been least effective?
3. If you could make one change to each recommendation to improve its
effectiveness, what would the changes be, and why?
