After reading this article please answer the following questions;

1. Do you agree with the state of South Carolinas decision to perform the surgery? If so why, if not why not? Make sure to support your thoughts with an appropriate ethical theory that we have learned. (When explaining your theory tell me why it is better to use than another theory that we may have learned about)

2. What type of paternalism was used in making the decision to conduct the surgery? (Make sure to compare and contrast this with other types of paternalism) Does this mean that this type of paternalism is always wrong to apply to any and all medical situations? Explain why or why not and when if ever this type of paternalism may be used.
