Members of Congress and their policies

Identify your members of Congress. This includes the two U.S. Senators who represent you from your state and the one U.S. Congressperson who represents you from your congressional district in your state. You can find the U.S. Senators for your state by going to this web source: senate.gov (Links to an external site.) You can find your U.S. Congressperson for your Congressional District by going to this web source: house.gov (Links to an external site.)

Once you have identified the three people (2 Senators + 1 House member) who represent you in Congress, pick any one among the three individuals for closer examination. Examine the policy positions on various issues (available through their webpages on senate.gov and house.gov) of the one legislator (Senator or House member) that you chose. Further choose one policy issue that matters to you and discuss how well (or not) this legislator represents your concerns on this issue. In sum, how satisfied are you with this legislator’s representation of the issues that matter to you? Discuss. (400 – 450 words).
