Understanding one’s own managerial skill levels is critical to managerial effectiveness for two
reasons. The first is to provide insights into specific skills that might need developing and
second, to understand how current skills levels could mitigate or exacerbate existing
organisational behavioural challenges. Part B aims to provide you with an awareness of your
own personal and interpersonal skill levels and how you could address any identified
development needs through structured activities in a Personal Development Plan.
• Undertake at least four (4) personal and three (3) interpersonal skills diagnostic tests;

• Critically identify areas for personal development through the analysis of test scores,
what these scores indicate according literature, and reflect on concrete examples from
your work experience;
• Create and justify a self-development plan to address identified development
requirements
