For your first essay assignment, you will choose one critical, peer-reviewed article on Little Women, and respond to it, using the text of Little Women as evidence. You may agree or disagree (or maybe agree and disagree) with the article you have chosen, that’s up to you. The aim here is to look at another reader’s critical view of the novel, and engage in a “dialogue” with them about their take on the text. I recommend looking at a few articles before settling on one. The Hunter Library database will have lots of options, as does the “Further Reading” section in your copies of LW.
Your essay should be 5-6 pages long, adhere to MLA format throughout (12 point, Times or Times New Roman font, double spacing, etc…), and have a “Works Cited” page. It is due on October 3rd.
