At the conclusion of this Module students will be required to write a reflection paper. The paper requires that each student analyze, synthesize and apply one topic contained within the provided readings, either the book or supplemental readings, to either a personal experience or a current event.
For example, Module 1 encompasses three chapters from Section 1: Legal Issues and Police from the assigned book. One of the chapters (which is not assigned but used for the purposes of this example) is Interrogations, Law, and False Confessions. A student could use this chapter as foundational grounding for analyzing and applying concepts to the recent legal issues surrounding eyewitness testimony that has led to changes in law enforcement policies regarding the use of eyewitnesses in arrests.
Papers will be NO longer than THREE pages, double-spaced, 12-point font. The paper will adhere to APA guidelines. Any paper exceeding the page limitation will have points deducted.r structure. A rubric for the papers will be posted on Blackboard.
