Discussion Topic:
Costco and Target’s expansions into Canada is an example for retailers considering international growth. Target burst on the scene without a built-out logistics system, which left store shelves empty much of the time and led to the them leaving less than two years in Canada, while Costco’s slow and steady approach has brought more than 30 years of growth.
Do research on the topic and explain the contrast between the two approaches by the retailers.
