Discussion: Doctoral Planning Tool
Consider the following saying: “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will do.” The purpose of this course is to make sure you do know where you are going! To avoid wandering down a random road, you will use the Doctoral Planning Tool (DPT) found in the Learning Resources. The DPT is designed to help you think through your doctoral study and how you will complete it.
This week, you will begin sharing your goals with your colleagues. As you work through your program, you are likely to revise and refine the DPT. It is not a contract, but a planning tool for your use.
- Review the week’s readings and the Doctoral Planning Tool (DPT).
- Complete the Doctoral Planning Tool (DPT) document.
- Place your timeline goals on a calendar and display it in your doctoral workspace.
