The writing style I prefer is very simple language. I like the focus to be on the fluency of reasoning, rather then sophisticated words/phrases. Write it as simplistically as possible yet, let the analysis be strong & coherent.
The assignment is 5 chapters from the book- The Skin That We Speak: Thoughts on Language and Culture in the Classroom~ by Lisa Delpit & Joanne Kilgour Dowdy.
And an article by Amy Tan: Mother Tongue.
I have uplaoded all the four(4) out of the six(6) readings. I could not find the “Ovuh Dyuh”~by Joanne Kilgour Dowdy, & “some basic sociolinguistic concepts”~ by Michael Stubbs. These two articles I couldn’t find to upload it for you are chapter 1 & Chapter 5 of the book itself, respectively. The are crucial chapters for this paper, especially the Michael Stubbs one.
This assignment is not just a summary of the articles. I will upload the assignment sheet along with the articles i have found that the assignment is about.
Again, I will emphasize on the writing style of the paper. Let it be strong, fluent and no big words or sophisticated transitional words/phrases.
