Task: This assignment task focuses on the selection and/or development of teaching materials and the
design of activities.
1. select a CSWE Learning Outcome (these will be distributed in class)
describe your group of learners (from your Practicum observations or one that you are familiar
with) – identify their language level, their goals and the learning context;

3. identify a topic that this learning outcome is relevant to
4. select 2 – 3 materials /resources / texts to use in teaching the learning outcome
5. sequence these texts and give your reasons
design two integrated skills activities for at least one of the materials – one activity must introduce
a grammar point.

your choices.
