  1. A review of the relevant literature of the topic. This section should not be longer than 15 pages in length.

 

  1. The literature review should focus on issues such as; etiological explanations (causes), cognitive/ emotional/ behavioral issues, educational and legal factors.

For example, in my paper I’m choosing to write about ex-offenders then my literature review should discuss issues such as; family factors, cognitive issues, economical and educational issues, behavioral issues, parole/ probation. This section should not be longer than 5 pages (for all four agencies). Information regarding these programs should be accessible by the agency’s website. You should have the following information on each agency.

 

Agency

  • Name and Description
  • Mission Statement
  • Value statement if applicable
  • Staffing (how many staff – administrative and direct service)
  • Funding sources (cost per client can be added if known)
  • Services provided (number of programs if applicable)

 

  1. In-depth evaluation of Project M.O. R.E. This program evaluation should include recommendations for improvement of the services provided by this program. This section should not be longer than 5 pages.

Program Evaluation

  • Rationale for program (is there really a need for this program?)
  • Program clientele, what population is to be served
  • Accessibility to community (on bus line, community based etc)
  • What are program goals and objectives (what is it designed to achieved)
  • What activities/ interventions are used to meet the goals and objectives
  • What data elements are used to measure/ monitor goals and objectives?
  • Who evaluates the program (internal/ external individuals)
  • What central questions are used to perform the evaluation
  • Is there an annual report with numbers of successful interventions

Answer the following questions in summary

Who is better off?

How are they better off?

Suggestions for improvement should be objective and based on empirical research of similar agencies or client satisfaction survey (if available).
