You are required to write an individual reflective essay, to evaluate the value
and relevance of content through reflective learning in preparing and
delivering your pitch. (100 Marks).
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:
Using Gibbs reflective cycle your essay should focus on:
a) How the pitch was employed and executed, and reflect on any internal and
external impacts (20 marks)
b) Critiquing your own practice and contribution to teamwork during all phases of
preparing the pitch (30 marks)
c) The team’s performance and outcomes, outlining any challenges that you
experienced (30 marks)
d) Recommendations on how the preparing and delivery of the pitch could be
enhanced in the future (20 marks)
POINTS TO CONSIDER:
How the pitch was employed and executed, and reflect on any internal and external
impacts (20 marks)
 This will vary depending on your experience and your individual
learnings from the practical task. However, it would be useful to reflect
on how you chose your theme and how you employed the 7 facets of
event design/James & Brown 5 principles to maximise the audience
experience

the use of Belbin Theory for team roles, Tuckman’s stages of group
development; Organisational effectiveness; Roles and responsibilities;
Stakeholder Management; Relationship Management and Gibbs
Reflective cycle, or Driscoll model of reflection.
