Analyze K-pop: Sexuality of female and gender role (Music)
Final Paper
Throughout this course, we have focused on social issues including race, gender, identity, sexuality, etc.
For your final paper, you will be discussing one of these topics in relation to your favorite musical
style.
Choose an issue that relates to human subjectivity – I have listed a few above, but there are
others – and develop a critical take on this issue in regards to your musical style of choice. You
can discuss the history of a particular issue in a musical style, contemporary problems, how your
chosen issue is created through music…the possibilities are vast.
You are to use a minimum of 3 peer-reviewed sources, only one of which may be from the Course
Reader.
When citing sources, make sure that the style you choose (MLA, Chicago, APA, etc) is consistent
throughout, and that this is reflected in your bibliography.
Min. 5 pages, max. 7 pages. 12 point font, Times New Roman font, double-spaced, 1-inch margins
