Alice in Wonderland, how Alice is a hero

According to Aristotle, heroes should be extraordinary, larger-than-life individuals who transform the world of which they are a part. In Aristotle’s time, this meant that heroes were upper-class men. With these ideas in mind, analyze the qualities of the protagonist in ONE of the following books: Tom Sawyer; Bud, Not Buddy; The Wizard of Oz; Charlotte’s Web; Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. How is the protagonist heroic? Does the book challenge and change the nature of heroism?
